Meet the Team
Mike Ward – General Manager
Mike brings over 15 years of hands-on experience across the transport and business sectors, giving him a ground-level understanding of the industry that few general managers can match. His career began behind the wheel — driving petroleum tankers, waste walking floors, and RoRo trucks across the Humber region — before progressing through operational and commercial roles that shaped his practical, no-nonsense approach to running a fleet.
A qualified Transport Manager, Mike now leads day-to-day operations at Meadow Waste, overseeing fleet management, business development, and the company’s growth and expansion strategy. Based in Hull, he has an intimate knowledge of the regional transport network and the industries we serve — from food production in the Humber to anaerobic digestion plants across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
Jim Imrie – Director
Jim is a founding Director of Meadow Waste and remains fully active in the business as a full-time driver. His hands-on approach reflects the culture at the heart of everything we do — no task is beneath the leadership team, and that attitude runs through every driver and every run we make. Jim’s operational presence ensures the business stays grounded in the practical realities of the work.
